In 1922 Frederic Schad started the first shipping agency and stevedoring company in the Dominican Republic. The company has developed into the leading logistic company in the country with branch office in the Caribbean area and Central America.
Schad Expertise was founded several years later and became Lloyd’s Agency in 1945.
Schad Expertise remained a division of Frederic Schad S.A.S. until early 2024 when it became an independent company with Frederic Schad and the management team as shareholders.
Over the years Schad Expertise developed itself to market leader and specialist in surveys and investigations. Its representation in Haïti appeared specifically valuable during the resent civil unrest and the herewith related damage to goods and vessel safety.
